Kia’s new plug-in hybrid concept features a solar roof

Eco Factor: Low-emission concept car powered by a hybrid engine. Kia Motors America unveiled the Ray plug-in hybrid concept car during a press conference at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. The design team has put in a lot of effort to better the vehicle’s aerodynamics by giving it a longer tail. Moreover, the vehicle’s four-inch lower roof also increases its efficiency. of the Kia Ray is supplemented by a 78KW electric motor. The company claims that the vehicle offers a 202.3mpg equivalent while driving in electric-only mode and 77.6mpg with the gas engine turned on as well.
